Transferring a domain means moving it from your current registrar to LiquidWebSpace. You unlock the domain, obtain the EPP/authorisation code from your existing provider, then start the transfer with us. We handle the rest with the registry and your current registrar.
In most cases, no. A domain transfer generally does not affect your existing nameservers, so your website and email will continue to work as normal. If you’re also moving hosting or DNS to us, we plan changes carefully to keep downtime close to zero.
Most generic TLDs (like .com, .net, .org) complete within 24–72 hours once the transfer is confirmed by email. Some country-code domains can complete faster or follow different rules. Our team will keep you updated on the status.
For most TLDs, yes. When you transfer a domain to LiquidWebSpace, one extra year is added to the existing expiry date as part of the transfer fee. Some exceptions apply depending on registry rules.
